The Forest v0.55 Patch Notes
v0.55 Major Changes:
● Suitcases around the plane crash site no longer respawn
●New item quick select feature. Combine weapons on the crafting mat with the backpack to assign. Default keys are 1, 2, 3 and 4 on keyboard.
● We added a new late game cannibal type, these are more powerful than the regular cannibals and wear masks made from skin of plane passengers. We also added more cannibals to the villages around the world
● Bone arrows! Combine 1 stick + 5 Feathers + 5 bones to create 5 bone arrows
● Snow now lands on water in the north area instead of going through
● Fixed a couple rare errors that could prevent a few wall chunks from showing up in saves that suffered data loss after a patch
What is The Forest?
The Forest is an open world survival horror game currently in development for PC. - Build, explore, survive in this terrifying first person survival horror simulator. The world - Enter a living, breathing forest with changing weather patterns, plants that grow and die. Tides that roll in and out with the day/night cycle. Below ground explore a vast network of caves and underground lakes.
Complete player freedom - Chop down trees to build a camp, or start a fire to keep warm. Scavenge food to keep yourself from starving. Find and plant seeds to grow food. Build a small shelter or a large ocean side fortress. decorate your home with found items. Lay traps and defenses to keep a safe perimeter.
Gameplay - Explore and build during the day. Defend your base at night. Craft weapons and tools.Bunker down during the evening or bring the fight directly to the enemy. Use stealth to evade enemies, or engage them directly with crude weapons built from sticks and stones.
A new type of open world, survival horror experience, Defend yourself against a clan of genetic mutant enemies that have beliefs, families and morals and that appear almost human.

Could someone please reply and help? I haven't played the Forest since October and now when I came back to see the changes they have done on the game (especially hard mode) it seems that I have a lil' problem - I can't get the "regrow mode" workin'! Using "regrowmode" (without the " ") with caps on and off did not work,even tried the same with caps on and off with "regrow mode"...nothing...
I like that they are adding more cannibals but I really don't like how they are doing it. While the skin head and cross cannibals look cool, I really wish they'd just go region specific cannibals instead. It makes total sense, especially with all the villages they've placed all over the map. Like the deep forest tribe, say a darker colouration and muddy appearance, and a deep tan with a lean figure for the ocean side cannibals. You know? These tribes are cool but it's kinda lazy and I think it ruins the ideal of the 'tribe' to just sprinkle them around with the regular cannibals.
Also, go ahead dude. Stream will be cool.

due to it still being in ALPHA id say they would probably add the region specific idea to the game later on, i mean right now they are just making sure that certain things work and adding things where people say they need improvement, so when you say its "lazy" its most likely more the devs slowly adding things in so they can troubleshoot any issues and not overload us with bugs
Me and a friend are on day 30, and we see both the white cross cannibals, and the skin mask cannibals all the time. Not really that late game, we have only explored one cave so far. I think 'late game' is determined by how many things you have built. We've built a huge base now, and every time we build more we have more mutants and cannibals attacking our base.
I have seen the late game mutants in about day 35, I'm not exactly sure what late game is either but it might be when you collect 50% of the new weapons and tools or something? I shouldn't be guessing because I have no idea XD
Maybe something flying might be cool, but the game is supposed to be a bit realistic, and realistically, combining human body parts together wouldn't be able to create any sort of creature with the ability of flight. Perhaps a non human mutant, yes. Maybe you could build some sort of umbrella like shield made of wood, sticks, leaves, etc, to protect your base from any flying ones.
Well to be fair, you are saying that that is just ACC's opinion, but at the same time, you are dissing TheChiller's opinion of that being ridiculous. I agree with TheChiller, that would be too far and would ruin the game for me.
Just take the SKS in case you have a great scope and would like to sit back,
take an AR if you wish to be more aggressive and play at closer range. The other
thing you are going to want to do is see which perspective you want. As you get
to the top 15 or black baseball cap so people, when you have enough items, it is a fantastic
strategy to always keep a complete boost meter. The Call-Out Strategy is among
